Trip wrap-up

This is the stretch limo that I spoke about in an earlier post. The kids LOVED it and Eric and I felt pretty special too!

It's Sunday and we arrived home safe after a fantastic trip that allowed us to see all of the Disney park sights, rides, and productions that any family of four would be proud to check off, all while enduring record temps and long days.

Day four took us to Hollywood Studios and a 10 hour park day. Favorites for the kids were Toy Story Mania, The Little Mermaid and Star Tours rides. The rain poured for a good 20 minutes, but not until after Luke and Anna had their pictures taken with the Power Rangers. Epcot puts on a wonderful block party complete with tons of characters and dancing.

Day five led us to our final park-Epcot. What a day! Eric and I decided ahead of time that we were not going to be crazy on our last park day and keep our time down to a minimum. Well, easier said than done. 9 hours later we left Epcot and headed to the pool at our hotel for a final two hour swim. We finally poured the kids into bed at 9:30 and called it a day. As Eric says, "Disney World-ZERO, Lockhart's-One". We did it all and are still in one piece.

This morning started at 4:45 am. as it was time to get up and ready to catch the plane home. Amazingly, both kids popped up out of bed and we were off and running. The craziest part of the day was when Luke took a three hour nap. Luke hasn't taken a nap in three or four years! We wore him out. This could come back to haunt us. ha
