Do they look guilty or just plain happy to be boys who just fired a rocket into the neighbors 60 foot tree?
Brothers doing what brothers do......setting off a rocket. Ryan is going to be one wonderful father some day.
Happy early birthday Eric!
Me and my honey at the reunion
The new hairdo with a few of my classmates.
Man alive, I need to go back to work tomorrow and catch my breath. This is getting to be an ongoing saga.
Our weekend started with us getting our court date Friday so obviously we were so excited that our brains didn't relax until well after midnight.
Saturday was my class reunion and so I got up and decided to color my gray hair(s). Not a good idea. I called Kelli to give me color advise (how much and of which colors) and I don't know if she forgot what my hair looked like or was trying to make me a poster child for "who can show up with the craziest hair at your class reunion". Anyway, my hair turned out VERY dark and I only had five hours before Eric and I had to leave for my reunion. Some of you may have tried to find a hair stylist on a Saturday afternoon at 1:45 and will know that most shops close at 2:00 and the ladies aren't willing to stay late because some poor sap over-colored their hair and has a reunion. Well, I wasn't about to go to the mall when I left home searching for a stylist, but after 35 minutes of having shop after shop turn me down flat I put my tail between my legs and walked into the mall.
So, 2 1/2 hours later not only did I get my hair highlighted but I also cut quite a bit of it off. Those that know me sometimes call me obsessive and compulsive. I was very pleasantly surprised at how well my hair turned out and Eric gave me the thumbs up when I got home. Whew, guess I won't have to skip my reunion now. Off we trotted to my reunion, both feeling like a million bucks, and lucky to be married to each other. My reunion was a blast. Thirty years later and I've got to admit the group was pretty young looking. I do have a very difficult time writing thirty year reunion (I put it in letters instead of numbers and it feels better). I feel like 10 year would be more appropriate, but that's not the case. Guess we feel young at heart.
Today was Tom, our new pastors, third Sunday at church and I think he's settling in very well. Jim (our just retired minister) was at our church for 20+ years so I'm guessing a lot of people are still working through Jim's retirement and a new leader in the pulpit. I wish them both the best.
We also celebrated Eric's birthday today, which is actually Thursday, with a family dinner at Eric's parent's house. Eric wasn't feeling very well, but managed to eat (he's never too sick to eat) and open presents. I do hope he's feeling better by tomorrow so he can work. ha
