Hallelujah our dossier is finished. Every form has now received the necessary signature, notary signature and state seal, wherever necessary. We received our state seals back from the Iowa Secretary of State today for our Power of Attorney and USCIS I171H Approval Letter. Those final two forms were sent to Lisa at Building Arizona Families and now our entire dossier will go to the Ethiopian Embassy in Washington, DC to be authenticated. Come on Ethiopian Embassy!! I’m saying prayers tonight (and every other night) that we’ll get our son home by Christmas.
Our next step is to go through a full day of required training this Saturday at Hillcrest Family Services (our home study agency). They’re having speakers come in and talk about adopting, both domestically and internationally. It should be fun.
